Description
Music Fest is an annual event sponsored by the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation (WGHF) to promote and celebrate local musical talent The festival will offers a wide variety of professional entertainment. Musical genres with themes varying from year to year. The presentation can include but is not limited to; Jazz, Blues, Country, Classic Rock, Brass, Celtic, Gospel, African, Latin, Folklore, Banjo, Eclectic, Blue Grass, Guitar, Songwriters, Youth and Choral Music. Other activities include musical education workshops, food, resturanteurs, shopping, KidsFest and music memorabilia collections displayed.
Governed by the mission statement of the WGHF, the event is presented with the intent of supporting and enhancing the operational budget of the Fondations Museums and the Garden Theatre. Additional objective are enhancing the arts, the sponsors/underwriters, merchants, the community and the goals of the city.

Free music workshops will be held were professinal instructors share their experiences, show a few tricks of the trade and are always open to questions.

Advertising Done for This Event
| There will be Radio, TV Spots, Local Newspapers and Magazines. Embarq Bill Mailings, City Water Bill Mailings, Posters and Flyers will also be used. There is a budget of $10,000 in monies and sponsorships. |
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Restrictions: The Winter Garden Music Fest 2009 is a family-friendly event. Vendors will not engage in the sale of any merchandise which The Foundation deems to be objectionable or inappropriate. Vendors shall keep their space in clean and sanitary condition throughout the Festival. Vendors shall be responsible to removing any and all trash from theLoad-in/Load-out: Vendors will be allowed to set up their spaces during a designated time on the opening day of the Fest. All vendors must be set up and prepared for Fest 30 minutes before the first musical performance. All vendors are required to stay open during the entire time of the Festival unless special arragments have been made. Load-out must be completed one hour after the Fest’s conclusion. There will be no parking on Plant Street during the Fest. Plant Street will also be closed to traffic during this time. Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds. Show Credits available by condition. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. Additional Lighting Recommended (bring lights and cords). Canopies must be weighted down, no stakes allowed in ground. Pets OK! Table Cloth or Drape Required. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |

Driving Directions From downtown Orlando: Take the East-West Expressway/State Road 408, west until it ends at the Florida Turnpike. Bear right (northbound) onto the Turnpike. Stay in the right lane and take the first exit onto State Road 429 (toll road). Again, bear right, heading north. Take the first exit off the 429 at Plant Street. Turn left onto Plant Street and go about two miles west to downtown Winter Garden.
From Lake County: Go west on State Road 50 to Main Street in Winter Garden (approximately 3 miles east of the SR 50/Florida Turnpike intersection). Turn left, heading north on Main Street. As you approach the downtown area, there is parking just prior to Plant Street on the left and right of Main Street.
From the Florida Turnpike: If coming from the north, take the first State Road 50 exit and head east on State Road 50 to Main Street in Winter Garden (approximately 3 miles east of the SR 50/Florida Turnpike intersection). Turn left, heading north on Main Street. As you approach the downtown area, there is parking just prior to Plant Street on the left and right of Main Street.
If coming on the Turnpike from the south, take the first State Road 50 exit (Ocoee). Bear to the left on the exit and head westbound on State Road 50 about 1.5 miles to Dillard Street. Turn right onto Dillard and go about 1 mile to the intersection with Plant Street. Turn left onto Plant and park.
