Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Rules
1. Participation is limited to artists showing their own original
works of art. No kits, manufactured items, molds, patterns, or
clothing that is not hand-crafted. Highlands Art league reserves
the right to make final decision of eligibility and may ask the
artist to remove questionable items from their display.
2. Set-up: Exhibits must be set up by 8:30 AM on Festival Day,
November 10, 2007. You may begin setting up on Friday
evening, November 10, 2007 after 8:00 PM. Please stop by
the Artists’ Reception to pick up your exhibitor’s packet.
3. All Vehicles (on Saturday morning) must be unloaded and
removed from the show area before 8:00AM and Not Return
to load until after 4:00PM
4. Each space is an expanded size of 10 feet deep and 14 feet
wide. All work should be kept inside this space. There is no
storage behind you.
5. Pets are forbidden in the show area.
6. Artist’s identification: In each Artist Packet will include an
identification card. This card must be prominently displayed
to qualify for judging.
7. Each artist is responsible for collecting Florida sales tax on all
sales made during the show. Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Jury materials will be returned to you. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! Floor Length Table Cloth Required. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
A multiple-person panel jury thoroughly reviews slides or photos and display. All items must be mostly hand made, no minor Embellishments only. All items must be Fine Craft or Art. Artist must be present day of show. Floor length table cloths required. All product types to be sold must be listed on application. Pre-show inspection of items and booths will be performed. Vendors with items violating contract terms WILL BE asked to remove them. Determined Quality Level: 5
