Description
Start that Christmas holiday shopping early with a variety of unique gift ideas at the 4th Annual Festival of Hope Craft Fair and Silent Auction.   Help raise desperately needed money for research of Batten Disease - a terminal degenerative neurological disease that affects children.

Entertainment
There will be a demonstration by Peck's Taekwondo America Demo Team, a performance by Stage Door Dance of Raleigh, live guitar and singing by George Fuller.  Clapper the Clown will also be present for entertainment and balloon animals.  Face painting will also be available.

Advertising Done for This Event
Online community event calendars, in the past I've advertised with a donated space by Carolina Parent.  Distribution of event flyers by posting and via email.  Signs up at the event along the roadway.  Suggestions are welcomed as well.

Event/Application Rules & Regulations
1)  Booth sizes have been limited to approximately 10x10 ft.  This change is due to a few difficulties experienced last year between vendors.  All attempts were made to encourage vendors to work together on spacing, but it is felt that placing this limitation will help eliminate these difficulties.  If you feel that you need space beyond 10x10ft,  you are more than welcome to pay for and register for more than one booth space.  Please make a note on the registration form that you are registering for more than one space.

2) A deadline has been established for registration.  All vendors’ checks for booth fees will have to clear the bank prior to the event.  The easiest way to ensure this is to establish a registration deadline.  The registration deadline will be October 17, 2009.

As in the past, all vendors and auction items will be inside. Vendors will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.  Every effort will be made to limit participants to one vendor per craft type.  For example, items such as handmade jewelry must differ from previously accepted handmade jewelry vendors.  Inventory is required to be available at the event to sell. All vendors will be responsible for handling their own money.  Please have change available for customers and any credit card supplies you may need the day of the sale.  Please bring your own table and any display pieces and table covers.  Chairs will be available for use at the sale.

Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Vendors can share a booth. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. Additional Lighting Recommended (bring lights and cords). No Early Packup Allowed. Raffle / Door Prize Donation Required. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
