Description
Festive and lively Handmade/Homemade Holiday Bazaar and Craft Show featuring 40+ crafters and artisans from all over Oregon and Washington. Hourly winners choice raffles!
Featuring: Homemade chix soup, veggie soup, clam chowder, cinnamon rolls, pies whole or by the slice, baked goods, sandwiches etc. Shop and relax! Live Harp Music on the hour.
Free Admission - Close and paved parking lot, Handicap parking behing the church and parish hall.
General Fundraiser for all Ministries. |
Advertising Done for This Event
This is an overhaul of an a very successful 4 year event that we decided to cancel in 2006 due to lack of volunteers (bad timing). We moved the date from October to this weekend as we felt that people would be more in the holiday spirit as well as re-define it as a homemade and crafters event and add a Friday night preview.
We have a great location and it was successful with only 20-30 vendors and little advertising. We a new chairperson that is going to pull all the stops and is ready to promote this event!
We are in the Oregonian on October 6th in BOTH Paid and free ads in the Oregonian Bazaar as well as being in one of 3 a featured bazaar articles!
There are paid and non paid ads in the Argus and Newstimes.
Posters, flyers, hung in the local businesses and distributed to all Catholic churches in the Portland area and local churches in Forest Grove Area. Banner downtown and at critical focal junction of HWY 47 and HWY 8 - gateway to wine tour country.
KVBM Catholic Radio will announce the event via a cookbook giveaway during morning commute weekdays prior to the event.
We are spending about $800 and a lot of sweat equity to promote this event. |
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Jury materials, slides or photos, will not be returned to you. No Refunds or Show Credits. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. Table Cloth or Drape Required. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
A single-person or more panel jury reviews slides or photos and display.
All items must be hand made or embelished.
Limited number of Artists per category.
Table cloths required.
All product types to be sold must be listed on application.
Pre-show inspection of items and booths will be performed.
Vendors with items violating contract terms WILL BE asked to remove them.
