Description
On behalf of The Junior League of Sarasota, we would like to invite you to participate in the 18th Annual Holiday Gift Mart, the Merry Marketplace.
Merry Marketplace will feature a two and a half day shopping extravaganza with other 50 quality merchants from the Southeast and beyond. Ancillary events will include a preview kick-off party, fashion show, holiday brunch and an event featuring Santa, himself.
Merry Marketplace will be held on Friday, Novembere 20th until Sunday, November 22nd, at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. The Municipal Auditorium offers excellent accessibility for shoppers, a centralized indoor location and free parking.
If you are interested in highlighting your merchandise at the Merry Marketplace, please request an application via telephone or email. Please note that this event will be the talk of the town and spaces are filling up quickly, therefore it is necessary for vendors to be prompt in returning applications.
We encourage you to turn in your application and deposit early as the timeliness of receipt will be a factor in selection decisions. Space in each category is limited to ensure a variety of merchandise while allowing vendors maximum sales potential.
There is a $100 deposit due with your application. If you are selected, the deposit will be applied toward your booth fee and you will receive a merchant contract agreement and booth preference form for your review and signature. Merchants not selected will be refunded their deposits. The Junior League of Sarasota DOES NOT charge commission on sales.

The 18th Annual Junior League of Sarasota Merry Marketplace, Holiday Gift Mart is now the major fundraiser for the Junior League of Sarasota, Inc. (JLS) serving Sarasota County. Funds raised from the event are used to support our mission. The Junior League of Sarasota is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the communivty through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It's purpose is exclusively education and charitable. Proceeds will also go to support our Signature Project of Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention. |
Entertainment
Preview Party Entertainment will be an MC-hosted fashion show with models and local firefighters.
Entertainment will be provided during regular shopping hours by local high school bands, choirs and other groups.

Advertising Done for This Event
The Junior League of Sarasota will publicize the Merry Marketplace and the ancillary events through newspaper, radio, TV, fliers, mailers, online sources, email and our website. The advertising budget for the Merry Marketplace and ancillary events is $2,000.
Merry Marketplace merchants will also have information and merchandise description features in the Merry Marketplace program and on the JLS website.
Participating merchants will be notified of the planning and implementation of our marketing plans as we finalize further details. |
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Common Rules Selected: Spots are selected by vendors day of show - first come, first pick. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |

Driving Directions The Sarasota Municipal Auditorium is located at 801 N. Tamiami Trail between Boulevard of the Arts and 10th Street - approximately 3 miles south of the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport.
