HISTORY AND MISSION
In 1972, Charles and Irma Millard, a Lancaster County couple who lost their son Christopher to cancer, established the Four Diamonds Fund. Their idea was to start a fund that would prevent financial devastation to local Central Pennsylvania families whose children have cancer. The fund got its name from an essay that Christopher wrote after undergoing cancer treatment.
Since 1972, over 2000 families have benefited from the Fund through expert medical care, support staff exclusive to pediatric cancer, research, and monetary support.
The Fund's primary purpose is to provide direct financial support to families of pediatric cancer patients being treated at Penn State Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology Department in Hershey.
Central Dauphin has raised close to $600,000 in 12 years. We are the largest contributor, behind Penn State Dance-A-Thon.

Common Rules Selected: City law requires city issued vendor permit. (Cost: Hummelstown Permit Phone: 7175831234) Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax. |
