Description
The Piney Wood Arts Festival features original art, crafts, special displays, a Children’s Fun Center, food and entertainment providing something for everyone. This is a juried show that attracts artists from throughout the Southeast. Additionally, artwork by Junior High, Senior High and college students is featured. A Civil War Living History Display will be on the festival grounds. The Weevil City Cruisers 11th Annual Car and Truck Show is Saturday and brings many car enthusiasts to the festival. According to David Deal, Chairman of the Festival, Piney Woods features quality arts and crafts for reasonable prices and offers something for everyone in the family. There will be many new artists - come out and enjoy a fun-filled weekend.
Advertising Done for This Event
Radio, newspaper, TV & magazine advertising. We ask for free publicity in all area radio(16) & TV(3) stations and newspapers (community calendar listings). We purchase prints ads in 14 area newspapers and 3 magazines. Our ads begin about 10-12 weeks before the event and run weekly until the event.
Event/Application Rules & Regulations

Common Rules Selected: Include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with enough postage for the jury materials you are sending to be returned to you. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. Conditional Partial or Full Refunds by conditions such as date and whether your space is resold. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
Event Quality Level Determining Flags:
A single-person or more panel jury reviews slides or photos and display.
All items must be entirely hand-made, no Embellishments only.
All items must be entirely hand-made by the artist alone.
All items must be Fine Craft or Art.
Artist must be present day of show.
All product types to be sold must be listed on application.
Pre-show inspection of items and booths will be performed.
Vendors with items violating contract terms WILL BE asked to remove them.
