Residents of all ages are invited to Barnegat’s Annual Pirates Day, a festival celebrating the bay shore town’s heritage, as well as today’s culture and entertainment. The municipalities founders day event will run from 9a.m. to 4p.m. September 8th. Great food, hot music, a multitude of vendors and the buccaneer spirit…..
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the history of Barnegat” says Dave Royle of the Barnegat Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the annual event in partnership with Barnegat Township Recreation Dept.
Entertainment will begin on the main stage on East Bay Avenue at 9a.m. with opening ceremonies followed by a full day of music.
In addition to the festivals musical entertainment, attendees can visit dozens of merchants and vendors and community groups showcasing their goods and services.
Pirates Day - This year Pirates’ Day will be Saturday, September 8th from 9am to 4pm. Last year’s event drew an estimated 8,000 – 10,000 people with over 120 booths, 2 entertainment venues, and loads of fun for everyone that attended. The Chamber is proud to be a co-sponsor of this event with the Barnegat Township Recreation Department. To put on an event this size we do need our members’ help. The Pirates’ Day committee is meeting August 7 th, 21st and the 28 th at 8:30 in the morning at The Van Dyk Group, 500 Barnegat Blvd. EVERYONE is invited to attend.
This is a well known local craft show with many activities occuring throughout the day. Many loyal families attend this show.

Common Rules Selected: Held Rain or Shine!
Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
