The Wickenburg Art Club selects artists and craftpersons of excellence to exhibit 3 days during the town's Gold Rush Days, which is sponsored by the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce and draws tens of thousands of people every year. Be aware that there are two separately managed boot areas during Gold Rush. This event description is for the Art Club's venue. The Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce manages booths across the street in the area surrounding the Community Center. The Chamber-managed booths include arts & crafts, food, and commercial exhibitors, along with carnival rides and mining contests.

No food is sold at the Art Club-managed venue. This includes 145 juried arts and crafts exhibitors in Stone Park, a tree-shaded park in the center of town surrounding the library.

Acceptance is based upon the appearance, uniqueness, originality quality, and display of your work. The exhibitor must have done the work. No mass-produced, resale,imported, kit or manufactured product is accepted. No odoriferous or food items are allowed. Artist must be present. Best booth award with publicity.

Free RV parking to vendors off-site. Security at the event provided 7pm-7am beginning Thursday. Exhibitors are eligible to compete for a cash prize in separate Fine Art Show & Sale during the event.

The Wickenburg Art Club Arts and Crafts Show (The Artisans' Fair) is one event during the annual Gold Rush Days. Entertainment includes a gun fight, parade, melodramas, free outdoor stage shows, and rodeo.
Advertising Done for This Event
The Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce spends tens of thousands of dollars promoting Gold Rush Days, the main event. They purchase major print and media ads, and also obtain a great deal of free publicity from local publications, and TV and radio stations. They also have a significant presence on the Internet.
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
Applicants must provide three photos of your work, plus one of your display and one of you creating your work. Photos are not returned.
Jurying: A jury of professional artists and craft persons judge and approve submissions. We approve entries based upon the appearance, uniqueness, originality, quality, market
value, and display of work. You must have performed
the work. No mass-produced, resale, imported, kit, or manufactured product is accepted. Jurors may ask to visit your studio. No food items are allowed. The decision of the jury is FINAL. If we approve your entry you will receive a receipt for fees, an acceptance letter, a list of motels/RV parks and restaurants, info on free RV parking, a town map, and rules for entering the Art Show in the Library.
Space assignments: Spaces reserved and paid for by previous
year’s artisans are guaranteed, but any reserved spaces
not paid for by August 1st become unassigned spaces
available to any applicant. Beginning August 1st, we’ll assign spaces by postmark date, and we will send you your space number and a parking pass. Two or more persons may share a space – there is a $15 fee for each additional person. Their names must be on the application, and their Arts & Crafts must be juried. Wickenburg Art Club, Inc. reserves the right to change or modify space locations.
Display: Artists must be present. Artist provides entire display and is responsible for it in case of loss or damage. Display must be sturdy, safe, clean, and tidy. Weight the display cover down – no staking the cover into the lawn. All work, displays, and storage must stay within designated space – no extending outside your space. All paintings must hang. You must leave your area clean after the show.
Sales: You are restricted to selling only those items isted on your application. Photos submitted with application must represent your display at the event. Misrepresentation of display or products, or non-compliance with our rules, will result in disqualification from future events. Artisans may not solicit or approach patrons outside of their booth area.
Set Up: Unload quickly beginning at 6 am Thursday, and
immediately move your vehicle to Coffinger Park. Do not
park in the town/library patrons’ reserved spaces.
Check in on Thursday 11 am to 5 pm at Library entrance.
You will get a Wickenburg Town business permit with your
name and booth number that you must display, and an additional parking pass if needed. Booth sitters are available. Free coffee and donuts served Friday from 7 am to 9 am.
Miscellaneous: We award “Best Booth” recognition on Friday.
Recommended attire is Western or Pioneer. You are eligible to enter the Gold Rush Art Club show and sale in the
library on Thursday before 2 pm if you choose to do so.
Wickenburg Art Club, Inc. reserves the right to make final
interpretation of all rules.
Security provided between 7 pm and 7 am Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday by the Citizen’s Patrol. The Wickenburg Art
Club, Inc. is not responsible for any injury to you, your display, or your vehicles. You must carry insurance.

Parking: Artisans must park in designated areas at Coffinger Park, or other places identified at check-in time. Display the parking pass. One RV (dry camping) and one additional vehicle can park at Coffinger Park. All parking is free. Vehicles must be removed from streets and the lot across the street from the library entrance by 8:30 am each morning during the show.
Street closures: E. Yavapai Street (from booth #56 to #18) is closed from 8:30 am Friday until 4 pm Sunday – no vehicle traffic! Please obey the police! PARKING IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT’S LOT (behind booths 56-107) CAN RESULT IN BEING TOWED.
Prohibited: Alcohol, animals, food sales, resale items, commercial-looking signs, odor, or noise production.
Refund Policy: $150 for each space up to December 15th.
Thereafter, $100 if space is resold. None if weather related.
No Show/Early Departure: If your space is unoccupied by
8:00 am Friday it may be given away – no refund. If you
leave before 4 pm on Sunday, we will eliminate you from
future events.
SALES TAX: Arizona sales tax is 9.5%. You are responsible
for collecting and paying it.
TAX NUMBER: To apply, write to the Arizona Dept. of Revenue,
License & Registration, 1600 W. Monroe, Phoenix AZ
85007-2650. Be sure Wickenburg is included in your state
tax application.
Common Rules Selected: Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Jury materials, slides or photos, will not be returned to you. City law requires city issued vendor permit. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. Conditional Partial or Full Refunds by conditions such as date and whether your space is resold. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! No pop guns, marshmellow guns or other disruptive items may be sold. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. White Canopies Only. Canopies must be weighted down, no stakes allowed in ground. No Early Packup Allowed. Event Helping Hands will come around/be available to relieve you for short periods. Standard Rules: All work and displays must stay within designated space. No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible. Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards. No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area. All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.
