Bluebonnet season starts 1st week of April in Ennis. We strongly encourage visitors to call or visit this website before your visit for the latest status each year, especially if driving long distances. Our flowers vary year to year, and the flowers peak at different times on each of our trails due to weather conditions, terrain, etc. SO please do check each year and feel free to call us before driving the trails.
Saturday, April 20, 2013,in conjunction with the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival a second annual Antique American Independent Automobiles Association (AAIAA) show will be held from 10 am to 3:00 pm. We will offer North Texans a rare opportunity to revisit those great independent autos brands, i.e. Studebaker, Hudson, Kaiser, Packard, Nash, AMC, Graham, Cord, REO etc. which perhaps carried your parents into the Rock & Roll era, your grandparents through the post depression era, and their great-grandparents into the horseless carriage era. Our AAIAA display will be along NW Main, between Baylor and Belknap Streets from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Parking attendants will assist in the arrangements of classic cars between 9:00 and 10:00 am. A separate area will be available for antique automobiles manufactured prior to 1980 by the American Big Three auto manufactures, i.e. Oldsmobiles, Edsels, Desotos, and Chevys. This show is absolutely free for visitors. Car owners will be on hand to answer any question about the cars and their manufacturer.
