The Shelby Township Art Fair Committee is seeking artists, fine crafters, and Michigan Made Products vendors for its 32nd Annual Shelby Township Art Fair, held on the township’s municipal grounds at 52700 Van Dyke Avenue, just south of 24 Mile Road.
This juried fair is limited to 100 artists and 30 Michigan based product selling businesses. With quality and variety in mind, art and fine crafts in clay, wood, painting, printing, drawing, fibers, metal, glass and other 2D and 3D mediums are being sought. A limited number of jewelers will be accepted.
All booths are outdoors on grass, measure approximately 15’ x 15’, and many have shade trees. Some double booths are available. The jury fee is $10 and booth fees are $140 for artists and $60 for the MI Made area. Cash prizes are awarded to artists and fine crafters. The deadline for entry is April 1, 2015.
The friendly, helpful, organized staff, easy load-in & load-out, Friday night set-up, plenty of free daytime & overnight parking close to exhibit areas, overnight grounds security, and complimentary coffee and donuts each morning help to create a fun, friendly atmosphere.
Advertising in local and regional publications, internet social media, television and radio announcements, e-mail blasts, flyers, banners and signs throughout the community, and more bring over 10,000 visitors to the event.
Other features for visitors include free parking and shuttle bus, family friendly musical and other entertainment, kid’s craft and activity area, great tasting food, and a sponsor tote bag giveaway.
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
ABSOLUTELY NO RESALE MERCHANDISE!
Original works in sculpture, wood, metal, clay,
jewelry, glass, enamels, textiles, paintings, graphics,
drawings, photography, and fine crafts, and more. A minimum
of artist prints are acceptable. Exhibits must
include no more than 30% prints. All works must
be designed and produced by the selling artist.
Manufactured kits, patterns, commercial products of
any kind, or imported art or crafts for resale, or any
portion thereof will not be accepted. NOTE: The Art
Fair Committee reserves the right to immediately
remove items not acceptable or to expel any exhibitor
whose work is not represented in the images submitted.Common Rules Selected:
Previous acceptance does not guarantee re-acceptance. Include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with enough postage for the jury materials you are sending to be returned to you. Jury Fee must be sent with a Seperate check. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds. Show Credits available by condition. Held Rain or Shine! Overnight Security Provided. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. No vendor may sell any soft drinks, name brand drinks, or bottled water. No streamer poppers, snaps, silly string, stink bombs or other similar items may be sold! Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. No Gas Generators. Canopies must be weighted down, no stakes allowed in ground. No Early Packup Allowed. NO Setup until vehicle fully unloaded and moved. Vehicles can not be brought near stand for un/loading. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules:
All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.

All items must be entirely hand-made, no Embellishments only.
All items must be entirely hand-made by the artist alone.
All items must be Fine Craft or Art.
