The Canal Day Festival is an old time country fair that celebrates the Morris Canal and its contributions to the development of the communities along its banks. The festival is now in its 36th year. Come to a day of free family fun featuring a juried craft show, food, educational events and 10 live bands. Hand picked crafters from around the region will be there to display their beautiful offerings. There will be something of interest for everyone to enjoy! Learn about local history by taking a guided Morris Canal walking tour provided by the Canal Society of NJ. Experience life on the Morris Canal first hand by traveling down the canal on a free boat ride or prove your prowess by paddling a kayak. The Wallaby Tails Traveling Zooï¿½s demonstration of exotic animals will delight children of all ages. Many, many, more activities for fun and learning are planned. "Rock the Canal" Music Festival
Enjoy a day of listening to a wide variety of musical entertainers. Musical performances from 12 of New Jersey’s best artists will feature Rock, Blues, Country, Classical as well as traditional and contempory Irish Folk Music.
A Kayak Paddle Demo fun day will be provided by Ramsey Outdoor.
Hay Rides and Pony Rides along the Morris Canal.
Taste traditional ethnic foods of Italian delicacies, Cornish pasties, homemade cakes and other edibles will be for sale.
Many exhibitors, including local businesses, artists, crafters, non-profit/civic organizations and vendors from around the area will provide interesting things to browse through.
Event/Application Rules & Regulations
The undersigned exhibitor agrees to release and hold harmless the Borough of Wharton, Canal Day Association and Committee, and all parties from any and all
Liability, for personal injury and/or property damage, theft and/or damage of merchandise arising out of operation of exhibitor. All Exhibitors will adhere to event
setup and cleanup times. Exhibitors must be set up in their entirety for the duration of the festival. All Exhibitors must have at least one table. NO merchandise
may be displayed on the ground. All booths must remain open for the duration of the festival. Exhibitors must remain in their designated space. Exhibitors are
responsible for setting up and tearing down displays and completely clearing their spaces before leaving. Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited at the festival.
Morris County Park System Rules and Regulations apply: All provisions of the New Jersey State Motor Vehicle Act and Trac Laws shall apply in the park and shall
be strictly enforced. Application deadline is August 1, 2010. Fee is not refundable unless event is canceled due to inclement weather.Common Rules Selected:
Include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with enough postage for the jury materials you are sending to be returned to you. Vendors can share a booth. Spots are assigned prior to show based by promoter. No Refunds or Show Credits. ALL product categories must be itemized on the application. Trash must be removed from your space to provided receptacles. Table Cloth or Drape Required. Vehicle must be parked in designated areas. Standard Rules:
All work and displays must stay within designated space.
No boxes, extra merchandise or debris should be visible.
Spot area must be kept clean throughout the event and be left spotless afterwards.
No soliciting, approaching patrons, or distribution of advertising material outside of booth area.
All vendors must have a state sales tax license. Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax.

A single-person or more panel lightly screens slides or photos.
Retail Items Allowed.
