We use naturally grown popcorn, pure sugar, and a couple of “secret” ingredients.We cook on site, we bag on site, and we sell on site, all crafted by hand. We do not pre-pop weeks or months in advance of a large event. We feel that watching the hot popcorn fly from the kettle is part of the show and lends authenticity to the product. Cooking on site also assures the purchaser that it is a very fresh product. We usually need a space in which to cook. The space need be only 10 x 10 and have electricity. We run a small fan and a few lights. On the latest inspection by the Fulton County Health Department, at Underground Atlanta received a perfect “100” score. We cook for all events large and small if the crowd holds the potential for decent sales.We have recently cooked at The Fayette County Kiwanis Fair 2005, The Kingsport Exchange Country Christmas 2005, the Bristol Motor Speedway’s 2005 Christmas tradition Speedway in Lights, the Underground Atlanta New Years Eve PeachDrop 2006, Sweetwater State Park Arts and Crafts Festival and several flea markets between festivals and shows.
